Vectis Hauntings has been established for people who are interested in real and accurate ghost stories. Vectis Hauntings are writing a book of ghost stories if anyone is willing to share their own paranormal experiences on the Isle of Wight please contact us. These stories can be anything from not feeling alone in your home to seeing ghostly apparitions and any photographic evidence is welcome. Vectis Hauntings are pleased to announce that we now have established an investigation team and we are organising our first team event very soon... Our mission is to help those who might be affected by paranormal activity occuring in their lives. We would like to document paranormal activity and try to prove that paranormal activity actually exists. Vectis Hauntings are currently in the process of looking for haunted locations across the Isle of Wight to conduct paranormal investigations. If you feel your properties are haunted please contact us with as much detail as possible and we will respond to your communication within 24 hours. The island has alot of mystery and intrigue as well as many unexplained myths. Here is a taster of a legend from the Isle of Wight. In St Helens around thirteenth century an old duver church was built. The building was left to disrepair and in 1703 the building collapsed and slipped into the sea all except the tower. It is said that one of its priests a 14th century monk named Aymo bought shame on the church because he worshipped the devil. Satanic rites were performed at the alter and he led a coven of black witches. He apparently defied excommunication and so continued to preach after his congregation stopped coming as they believed the church was cursed. In 1784 a few workmen from Portsmouth came to strengthen the tower and what was left of the building and paint the sea wall white. They came across an old fashioned gentleman wearing unusual clothing asleep at the top of the tower. The old man was angry at being awoken and he cursed them. The workmen thought this a joke until they were to return to home when they became nervous and after setting sail across the solent they disappeared never to be seen again. It has also been stated that a hooded figure can be seen floating towards the church tower. Vectis Hauntings are currently in the process of researching history for various haunted locations on the Isle of Wight. We are also looking for any information on the myths and legends from the island and any theory behind the myths? We would also be interested in any old documents, property blueprints and photographs from anywhere around the Isle of Wight. No matter how small the information seems it will make a big difference to my research. We will be playing music and doing live talk shows. We will be introducing a new paranormal chat show and live radio interviews with phone in sections. We are also asking if any other teams would like to record there own show and send in the mp3 files and we will be happy to play your show free of charge. We are looking for volunteers who know how to use Sam broadcaster. If you are interested on working on the radio, would like to talk on the live shows, be a talk show host or become a disc jockey.
