Vectis Hauntings Isle Of Wight | Isle Of Wight, Ghost Island | Vectis Investigations into the Paranormal #1

Vectus Hauntings Isle Of Wight
Vectus Hauntings has been established for people who are interested in real and accurate ghost stories . I am planning on writing a book with my own paranormal experiences . I am looking for help from psychic mediums and clairvoyants alike. I am not looking to set up an investigation team it will be a few psychics going to a location and advising what they see and feel.

We will not be using paranormal equipment, quija boards, table tipping and any other forms of ghost investigation paraphernalia. We are also interested in hearing stories from members of the public telling us there own experiences.
History Of The Isle Of Wight
The Isle of Wight known as Vectis by the Romans was captured at the end of the Roman Empire and it became a jutish kingdom until AD 661 when it was invaded by Wulfhere of Mercia who forcibly converted the island to Christianity. When he fled back to Mercia the islanders reverted back to paganism. The capital of the island at this time was Carisbrooke and it wasn’t until the 12th century that the town of Newport was founded by Richard de Redvers with a straight road from quay to the castle.

The Isle of Wight is steeped in history and recognised worldwide for it paranormal activity. The paranormal fraternity and ghost hunters alike have claimed that this spiritual island is the most haunted island in the world. As to why this beautiful island has a huge amount of paranormal phenomena one can only speculate. This has been discussed and debated over the years; it could possibly be because ley lines run for 70 miles from London through this unique island.

The hugely acclaimed paranormal activity at Appuldurcombe House and Arreton Manor on the Isle of Wight inspired Yvette Fielding & the Most Haunted team to conduct paranormal investigations at these locations.

Gay Baldwin Paranormal Author of Ghost Island books helped with the local research for Living TV's Most Haunted series, and several other supernatural television and radio programs. She is recognised as one of the best leading paranormal researchers for the Isle of Wight and has eight ghost books to her name.
